NAIDOC Week 2025

Published

NAIDOC week celebrations didn’t stop here at our offices, with the Aboriginal Interpreter Service heading out into the community to take part in several key events.

The team toured the Territory, connecting with communities to understand more about how we can support and empower the local people.

They visited the Darwin and Palmerston hospitals, attended the Darwin NAIDOC event at Civic Park, as well as the Darwin Civic Park event appearing in Groote Eylandt, Palmerston and at the Royal Darwin Hospital; and the Kalano Community Association in Katherine.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello, and took the time to share your stories with us. We were grateful for the opportunity to meet so many amazing individuals and families across the regions.

Each conversation deepened our understanding around the unique experiences, needs and preferences of communities, helping us ensure the support we offer is meaningful and effective.

This year's theme The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy, aligns closely with our vision to build a strong, vibrant, and empowered Territory, community by community.
