Remote Water Team pre-engagement Yuelamu
The Remote Water Team is continuing water forums and community engagement across priority communities in the Northern Territory. In August, our Housing representative met with Yuelamu community members to plan a future water forum and hear directly about local priorities.
Community members highlighted several focus areas:
- Water security and safe drinking water
- Reporting and fixing water leaks
- Health and wellbeing impacts
- Housing maintenance and liveability
- Food security and cost of living
- Local employment, training and economic opportunities
These insights will shape the design of the upcoming Yuelamu Water Forum and guide practical actions with partner agencies.
