St Mary's Alice Springs project update
The Northern Territory Government is progressing plans for future social housing at the St Mary’s Alice Springs site.
Site preparation works have now commenced, including the staged demolition of selected buildings and remediation works to prepare the site for redevelopment.
Key heritage assets and sacred trees will be protected throughout the project.
A request for proposals (RFP) has also been released for the future development of the site. Proposals are now open and will close on 24 September 2026.
