Public consultations begin on Local Government reforms

Published

With the release of 3 discussion papers outlining proposed changes to the Local Government Act 2019, public consultations are now underway across the Territory, inviting communities to share their thoughts and provide feedback before the reforms are finalised.

Your input will help us strengthen local government and improve the laws surrounding how councils operate.

Everyone is welcome to participate; however, we’re particularly interested to hear from employees and organisations who work in, or closely with, the local government sector.

Where can I attend?

Our first session is being held in:

  • Darwin: Fri 23 May, 10am and 2pm, Ground Floor Old Admiralty Tower, 68 The Esplanade
